Honouring the legacy of Eléonore Riego de la Branchardiere by transforming the art of crochet into a gift of warmth, love and hope for underprivileged newborns.
26-30 December 2026 | Delhi NCR

OUR INSPIRATION
A Legacy of Crochet. A Future of Compassion.
Éléonore Riego de la Branchardière
(1828 - 1887)
Éléonore Riego de la Branchardière (1828–1887) was a renowned nineteenth-century needlework author whose published books helped make crochet, knitting, and lace-making patterns accessible to generations of crafters. Her work contributed to the development of crochet as a recognised art and creative skill.
Her legacy reminds us that crochet is more than loops of yarn woven together. It is an art of patience, creativity, comfort, and connection—an art that can bring warmth to those who need it most.
In remembrance of her death anniversary on 26 December, BRIATOSHS is launching Threads of Love, a charitable crochet initiative that transforms this beautiful craft into an expression of compassion.
Her work gave the world patterns. Our hands give the world hope.

To unite crochet creators through Threads of Love, transforming their creativity and compassion into handmade baby blankets for underprivileged newborns. Through this initiative, BRIATOSHS aims to spread warmth, hope, and kindness, proving that every stitch can make a meaningful difference.
To build a compassionate crochet community where creativity becomes a force for social good, ensuring that every handmade creation carries a message of love, dignity, and humanity. We envision a world where no newborn is deprived of the warmth of a lovingly made blanket.

Why Threads of Love?
Every newborn deserves warmth, care, and a loving welcome into the world. Yet, many underprivileged families struggle to provide even the simplest comforts for their babies.
Through Threads of Love, we invite crochet artists and yarn lovers to come together to create handmade baby blankets for underprivileged newborns. These lovingly crafted blankets will be donated to newborn babies in need at government hospitals across Delhi NCR.
Our initiative will take place from 26 December to 30 December, celebrating the spirit of giving through the art of crochet.
We believe that every stitch carries a message of kindness, every blanket offers a little warmth, and every contribution can make a difference in a newborn’s life.
We are not just crocheting blankets; we are stitching love, dignity, and hope into the lives of little ones.
